Crib Safety

Creating a safe nursery is a top priority for parents planning to bring their little one home for the first time. Since newborns spend most of their time sleeping, ensuring a safe place to sleep is one of the most important ways to keep them safe.

Start by purchasing a safe crib. Check www.recalls.gov to find a list of cribs and models recalled by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Before placing your baby in the crib, make sure the sheet and mattress fit tightly. To avoid entrapment and suffocation, remove all soft bedding, pillows, toys and stuffed animals.

Remember there is only one way for a baby to sleep safely.
It’s as simple as ABC:

A – Alone

B – on their Back

C – in a Crib
